Hey Hey Hey!

So, by popular demand I wanted to write this post really quickly to highlight what I’ve done to create a small in home studio that I use for both my live Broadcast backgrounds and what you will soon start to see online in my Instagram posts :-), yes it’s going to be overkill, lol.  I’ve put together a small list of my top amazon pics for my -in-home photo/video studio, as well as a few of the tool that I use when I’m broadcasting live.

I’m an amazon junkie whenever I can be, so I wanted to make it easy for you to find.  By the end of day today, I’ll come back and update the post with pictures of how I have it set up and maybe I’ll do some short video tutorials on how I chose the space and what you’ll need to do to get set up as well.

Thanks for always tuning in and I hope this helps!

My Top Amazon Pics for my In-Home Photo/Video Studio

in home photo/video studio

  1. LimoStudio Photo Video Studio Four Light Head Continuous Lighting Softbox, Boom Stand Kit with Green, White and Black Muslin Backdrops…
  2. Iographer Film Making Case for iPhone 6/6S
  3. Rode VidoeMic Shotgun Microphone with Rycote Lyre Mount

***Note, I’m also using a Ring Light that I will list below that has the mount for any dslr camera or Iphone tripod mount that I currently use to mount my Iographer case on.  If you do not want to purchase the ring light as well, which you don’t have tom then you’ll also need a tripod,  I suggest the Tripod, iKross 61-in Professional Light Weight Tripod with Smart Phone Adapters and Carrying Bag.***

Now the set up above ran me about $375 and yes that may seem steep, but here’s the deal, anything you invest in will cost you, but if you take live broadcasting seriously and you want to be professional in appearance then it will return for you when you book your first client, so if you can afford it I say take the leap and do it. But if that’s a little too steep for you for right now, here’s some other options that might work a little better, using an area that you already have set up.

  1. LimoStudio 18″ Ring Light Dimmable Fluorescent Continuous Lighting Kit 5500K Photography Photo Studio Light Stands with Carrying Case
  2. Iographer Film Making Case for iPhone 6/6S
  3. Rode smartLav+ Lavalier Microphone for iPhone and Smartphones

Now the above set up still ran me about $300 bucks, but for me it was a small investment that makes a huge difference in the way people receive you.

There are two things that have become non negotiable in my live broadcast world and that’s sound and audio, and it was at the point where I decided to make these small investments that clients book without “discovery calls”, and I’m able to convert at a much higher percentage.

So in another post, I’ll talk through what I plan to do with this set up and how I expect it to change up the game even more and how you can incorporate that into your process and get similar results.

That’s all I’ve got for now.  Let me know if you decided to go for it, I’d be curious to see how you set it all up.  I’ll have pictures of my setup for you later on in the day!

See you next time on Periscope!
