17 Mar Demonstration: Using your Google Calendar to Manage Life & Business in One Place
One of things that has been so apparent with my clients is that we struggle, and yes I said we, with managing everything that we have to do in one place. If you are anything like me you have way more to life then just business so I’ve found it more than helpful to be able to see this all in one place and not have to worry about being scatter brained and unorganized because stuff is too spread out. So to remedy all of that I’ve come up with a color code system that I’ve been using for years to help me stay organized according to keep me on my toes, and I want to share it with you because I’m more than sure you can do this for your business as well.
Demonstration: Using your Google Calendar to Manage Life & Business in One Place
The first thing that I like to do before I get to scheduling things on my calendar is to organize my life into categories. For me my calendar is organized according to my responsibilities which are for me family, business, and ministry. For you that can be anything, if all you manage is your business then you can categorize according to activity, for me it’s just easier to organize it by my various responsibilities.
Once I’ve organized my calendars on paper I can then move to Google to start with the creation of the calendars electronically. There is a demonstration below that you can watch to get an example of what that looks like
After I’ve created my calendars electronically inside of I can get to work easily adding my meetings, tasks, reminders and such according to the categories that I’ve outlined. This is the part where all of the planning comes into place. I could talk about this forever, but I think at this point it’s going to be a lot easier for you to watch the demonstration below to get a visual of what that looks like.
Now keep this in mind, I’m all about simplicity so I don’t do anything hard. This probably sounds like a tedious task, but once you watch the demonstration you’ll see that in fact, it’s probably one of the easiest things you can do, and you’ll thank me once it’s done. Lol.
